Investment in Columbia, S.C. is receiving a boost with a $5 million award to Columbia Metropolitan Airport for its terminal expansion project. The project is set to add a fourth concourse and the funds will help to make this possible. Additionally, the Center for Sustainable International Investment (NASDAQ:CCSI) based in Washington, D.C. is dedicated to furthering research, practice, and discussion of sustainable international investments.

The White House has also made several investments in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and other territories. Recently, Assistant Secretary Estenoz visited Benedict College in Columbia, S.C. to celebrate a $130,000 investment through the Opportunity Zone Program, which is designed to attract long-term investments in low-income communities.

In addition, Columbia Care, Inc. is a leading provider of medicinal marijuana products and services in the United States. Recently, the company held a conference call to provide investors with key business highlights and provide an update to the investment community on the pending acquisition of Columbia Care.

Vice President Kamala Harris recently visited South Carolina and praised the White House for helping to make investments in the state, including climate resiliency and a bill to invest $200 billion in infrastructure. Jupiter Asset Management Ltd. also recently increased its position in shares of Columbia Banking System by 256.4% during the 3rd quarter.

Former Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin recently landed a job with the White House to help further investments in the state. The White House also made an investment of over $231 million in the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program in South Carolina, and other U.S. territories and the District of Columbia.
