Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced investments in the city of Jackson to help its citizens with broadband, career education, and roads. The Jackson Zoning Board of Adjustment also approved an application from Earle investments, LLC, to build a new retail shopping center in the city. This new development is expected to bring new jobs and economic opportunities to the city.

Michigan Automotive Compressor is invest $82 million in Jackson County. The company has said that this project will create more than $202.6 million in investments and retain 241 jobs. The company's project is located on the former Buick City site.
