Calamos Investments LLC and NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo have announced the launch of the Calamos Antetokounmpo Sustainable Equity Fund, also known as SROI. This new ETF is designed to provide investors with exposure to growth and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) focused companies.

The partnership between Calamos Investments and Antetokounmpo is aimed at promoting sustainable investing and encouraging investors to consider ESG factors in their investment decisions. The SROI ETF will invest in companies that score well on environmental, social, and governance criteria, and will focus on growth-oriented companies.

According to Calamos Investments President and CEO John Koudounis, the SROI ETF is part of the firm's commitment to sustainable investing. Koudounis recently discussed the ESG market and the new ETF on "Mornings with Maria."

Jim Madden, Senior Vice President and Co-Portfolio Manager at Calamos Investments, also emphasized the importance of sustainable investing, noting that companies that score well on ESG criteria tend to be more resilient and better positioned for long-term growth.

The launch of the SROI ETF comes at a time when interest in sustainable investing is growing rapidly. According to a recent report by Morningstar, sustainable funds in the United States attracted a record $51.1 billion in net flows in 2020, more than double the previous year's record.

The SROI ETF will be managed by Calamos Investments and will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The fund will have an expense ratio of 0.55% and will be available to both retail and institutional investors.

In addition to the SROI ETF, Calamos Investments also offers a range of other sustainable investment products, including the Calamos Global ESG Equity Fund and the Calamos Timpani Small Cap Growth Fund.

Calamos Investments was founded by Greek-American John Calamos in 1977 and has grown into a premier global investment provider with over $30 billion in assets under management. The firm is known for its expertise in convertible securities and has a long history of innovation and client-focused solutions.

Antetokounmpo, who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks, is a two-time NBA MVP and one of the league's most popular players. He has been vocal about his interest in sustainable investing and has said that he hopes to use his platform to raise awareness about the importance of ESG factors in investing.

The launch of the SROI ETF is a significant development in the world of sustainable investing and underscores the growing interest in ESG-focused investment products. As investors increasingly consider the social and environmental impact of their investments, funds like the SROI ETF are likely to become more popular.
