American Express Ventures also invests in the StrataQuant Materials Index, a modified equal-dollar weighted index designed by the AMEX to objectively identify and select stocks of companies in the materials industry. Amex Ventures also invests in mutual funds and closed-end funds. An investment in a Fund is subject to certain risks, including market risk. In general, shares of closed-end funds often trade at a discount from their net asset value. American Express is currently investing in the Clough Global Equity Fund which seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation and current income.

American Express Ventures has invested in a variety of companies, from consumer-focused businesses to mutual funds and closed-end funds. The investments made by Amex Ventures are helping to shape the future of the financial industry.
