Ministry of Planning and Investment expands, upgrades Dung Quat Oil Refinery to attract foreign investors.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has reported to the Prime Minister about its appraisal on expanding and upgrading the Dung Quat Oil Refinery. The MPI believes that the expansion and upgrading of the refinery will help attract more foreign investors to Vietnam, thus creating more economic opportunities for the country.

The MPI is committed to creating favourable conditions for foreign investors, including those from Hong Kong, to invest and do business effectively in Vietnam. This is why the MPI is actively working on the expansion and upgrading of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery. The new and upgraded facility will be able to provide better services to foreign investors and help them take full advantage of the opportunities available in Vietnam.

The MPI has also identified several trends for the next decade that will be beneficial to foreign investors. One of these trends is the increasing presence of global companies such as Charles River, Labcorp, and Envigo, which are invest in developed areas, and the preference of such companies to invest in underdeveloped areas.

To further promote foreign Investment, the MPI is also working with embassies located in Vietnam. The MPI is sharing with the embassies information on the opportunities available in Vietnam and encouraging them to organize activities and spark foreign investors’ interest in Vietnam.
