The United States is a world leader in global trade and investment, and our citizens are increasingly interested in investing in the US economy. As a result, many foreign nationals are looking for ways to obtain visas to do business in the US. This has led to a rise in the number of foreign nationals looking to invest in the United States. One of the most common ways to do so is by obtaining an investment visa.

E-1 and E-2 visas are for treaty traders and invest who enter the United States under a treaty of commerce and navigation between the US and the foreign country. These visas are also known as “treaty trader” or “treaty invest” visas. The anxiety over visas is very real for many Indian students and business owners, who are looking to make investment in the US. Treaty invest E-2 work visas are for citizens of countries with which the United States has an investment treaty. Let me start by giving an overview of both the E-2 visa for treaty invest and the L-1A visa for intracompany transferee executives and managers. The E-2 visa is a nonimmigrant visa that allows foreign invest to develop and direct businesses in the United States. The L-1A visa is a nonimmigrant visa that allows foreign executives and managers to enter the US to establish a business or to work for an existing one.
