Manulife Investment Management, the global brand for Manulife Financial Corporation's Global Wealth and Asset Management segment, has appointed Rick Bodio as a managing director of food and agribusiness manager Ceres Partners. This is a new position, and spokesman James Maloney said that it will provide Manulife with the flexibility to purchase common shares as part of its capital management strategy.
Bodio is an experienced asset manager with over 20 years of experience in the agriculture and food industry. He has expertise in investing, capital raising, and portfolio management. He has worked with a variety of funds, such as the ADM Capital Group and the Cargill Food and Agriculture Group.
Bodio will be responsible for identifying new investments, executing transactions, and overseeing portfolio management at Ceres Partners. He will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and partners.
